      i) Snake Bite:

      1. Stay Calm: Encourage the victim to remain calm to slow the spread of venom through the body.

      2. Keep the Affected Limb Immobilized: Instruct the victim to keep the bitten limb as still as possible to prevent the venom from spreading.

      3. Remove Jewelry or Tight Clothing: Remove any jewelry or tight clothing near the bite site, as swelling may occur.

      4. Position the Victim: Position the victim lying down with the bitten limb immobilized at or slightly below the level of the heart to reduce venom circulation.

      5. Clean the Bite Area: Clean the bite wound gently with soap and water to reduce the risk of infection.

      6. Apply a Splint or Bandage: Apply a splint or bandage to immobilize the limb and restrict movement.

      7. Avoid Cutting or Sucking the Wound: Do not attempt to cut the wound or suck out the venom, as this can cause further damage and increase the risk of infection.

      8. Seek Medical Help Immediately: Call emergency services or transport the victim to the nearest medical facility as soon as possible for antivenom treatment.

      ii) Nose Bleeding:

      1. Sit the Person Down: Have the person sit down and lean slightly forward to prevent blood from flowing down the throat.

      2. Pinch the Nostrils: Instruct the person to pinch the soft part of the nose (just below the bridge) with thumb and index finger for about 10-15 minutes while breathing through the mouth.

      3. Apply Ice Pack: Apply a cold compress or ice pack to the bridge of the nose to help constrict blood vessels and reduce bleeding.

      4. Avoid Tilting the Head Back: Advise against tilting the head backward, as this may cause blood to flow down the throat and potentially lead to choking or vomiting.

      5. Stay Calm: Encourage the person to remain calm, as stress or anxiety can exacerbate nosebleeds.

      6. Avoid Blowing or Picking the Nose: Instruct the person to avoid blowing their nose or picking at crusts, as this can disrupt blood clots and prolong bleeding.

      7. Seek Medical Attention if Necessary: If the nosebleed persists for more than 20-30 minutes despite first aid measures, or if it is accompanied by other symptoms such as dizziness, fainting, or difficulty breathing, seek medical attention promptly.

By following these first aid steps, you can effectively manage snake bites and nosebleeds and provide immediate assistance to those in need.
