      1. Reservation System: One of the central components of Affirmative Action in India is the reservation system. A certain percentage of seats in educational institutions, government jobs, and political positions are reserved for Scheduled Castes (SCs), Scheduled Tribes (STs), and Other Backward Classes (OBCs).

      2. Scheduled Castes (SCs) and Scheduled Tribes (STs): Historically, SCs and STs have faced severe social discrimination and economic deprivation. The reservation policy ensures their representation in various sectors, including education and employment.
